About Dr. Laura Varga
I combine my education and training in Eastern Medicine with my background in Western Medical research at UPENN, UCSD and DUKE to help those with Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS) with coinfections. I was diagnosed with this disorder in 2022 and it is my passion to help those who suffer as I did from this often missed diagnosis. Dr. V who founded The Jupiter Approach tells her CIRS story. “At the age of 51, despite years in the medical and wellness industries and having seen many practitioners including western allopathic physicians, naturopaths, homeopaths, osteopaths, eastern physicians, bodywork therapists, and psychotherapists, my health was in critical condition. One day I looked in the mirror and saw distinct deep dark lines in the corners of my eyes and I knew that something was very wrong. I had such fatigue and was in so much pain I would go to a nearby state park and lay on the ground with my German Shepherd. Looking back, I can see this began when I was 6 years old. It seemed as if overnight I went from a sunshiny little girl to a depressed, tired, congested, frightened one. I tried hard to improve my health, physically, mentally/emotionally and spiritually, and over the years my health ebbed and flowed, making progress in some areas and worsening in others. Only by grace was I guided to two pivotal mentors: one western, Dr. Ritchie Shoemaker, MD and one eastern Dr. Heiner Fruehauf, PhD who shone light on what was happening in my body and gave me the keys to unlock the mystery of my declining vitality. My practice today is dedicated to helping others who suffer as I once did.”
